Keep beef affordable

Farmers feeding Zilmax are using less land and water,8 and ensuring animal well-being while raising more affordable beef.7 The benefits delivered by just one bag of Zilmax, when fed according to label and in conjunction with good animal husbandry practices, include:

  • Net water savings of more than 32,000 gallons6
    • Enough for a typical U.S. household for more than 2.5 months6
  • An additional 9,000 pounds of beef
    • Enough for 164 U.S. consumers for a year

These benefits are realized because the same number of cattle make better use of their and feed, converting it into more lean beef instead of excess fat.

Animal Well-being is a priority

Zilmax has been extensively tested to determine any impact on animal well-being.  Researchers have evaluated more than 182,000 cattle in 65 animal safety and well-being studies and concluded Zilmax has no negative effect on animal well-being.1,10-20

Helping keep beef affordable

And, Zilmax helps keep beef affordable.1,7 A growing middle class on a global basis has resulted in rising demand and increased prices for beef. This is occurring as low cattle numbers and weather events have tightened beef supplies.

Farmers feed Zilmax as an innovative solution, helping cattle make the most of what they eat, producing more high-quality beef from fewer natural resources8 and helping keep beef within the budget for families.
